    • Information that comes from one eye about distance
    • Super-position
      • Partly hidden object
      • Must be further away than the object covering it
      • Objects in front are closer to us
    • Relative size
      • Smaller objects perceived as further away than larger ones
    • Texture Gradient
      • Detailed pattern
      • More detailed, the closer we perceive it to be to us
      • On a sandy beach, closer up we see more detail than what we see further away
    • Linear Perspective
      • Parallel lines appear to converge in the distance
      • Very long straight roads or railroad tracks appear to meet in the distance

      • Objects closer to the horizon appear to be more distant
      • In a scene with a horizon, objects lower in the scene appear closer
