      • ABSOLUTE: has a principle that never changes eg: if don't agree with abortions even if someone's ***** still don't agree
      • RELATIVE: Has a principle but it does adapt according to circumstances eg: if someone didn't agree with abortions but they'd been ***** they'd get one
    • Whys life so special?
      • value of life
        • Value of a person over their physical value. this relates to does one life mean more than another and should it impact medical reatment
      • Quality of life
        • measure of fulfilment: able to live with dignity, freedom and no pain. if so do they have  a good life.
      • sanctity of life
        • Idea that god created all life and so  its sacred so we should treat it special as god created us special
    • Fertility treatments
      • IVF
        • Egg cells taken from mother, mixed with sperm to fertilise, they are incubated to let them grow, its then implanted back in mom and a hormone treatment to make her womb ready
          • have a biological child
          • multiple births

          • AID
            • Same thing but fertilised with a random donor (either because husband is infertile or same sex couple)
              • allows single people and homosexuals to have kids
              • brings another person into the marriage and can affect someone as they don't know who there father is
          • AIH
            • fertilised by husband (because woman fallopian tubes blocked or husband has low sperm count)

      • Surrogacy
        • Its where another person carries a baby for another, the bay can be biologically theirs but they have a problem in keeping the baby ( can bring up legal issues)

        • if youre not ovulating they trigger egg production like youre own hormones

      • Buddhists: not as much pressure to have kids but allow if not for selfish reasons but some disagree with IVF if it discards embryos
      • Christianity: Should have compassion. RC don't agree with IVF and AIH as it involves masturbation and some embryos end up being discarded

          • if anyone saved a life it would as if he saved the life of the whole people
      • BT= when a patient is given blood as oart of an operatio
        • Jesus taught to love each other so if they did it they would be being kind and following Jesus example

        • transplanting organ between species eg: pig organs have been used for humans
      • Islam; he bestows children male or female according to his will
