      • 4.Macbeth cannot be harmed by anyone “of woman born.”
      • 5.Macbeth cannot be beaten until “Great Birnam Wood to high Dunsinane shall come.”
    • Macbeth kills banquo and tries to kill his son because of prophecies.

      • witches was thought to be women who didn't have shadows and women who didn't get married after being widowed.
