  • Hitler and the Nazi party.
    • July bomb plot- In 1944 the closest assassination attempt took place. 4 men died and Hitler's hair was burnt but he wasn't severely injured.
    • Many Germans admired Hitler and liked what the Nazis were doing. E.g. Wealthy business owners were pleased to help mass produce weapons.
    • Passive resistance- Publicly refusing to do what you were told E.g. Not doing the 'Heil Hitler' salute.
    • Open opposition- Openly declaring their dislike of the Nazi ideas and policies. E.g. Swing youth, openly declared their dislike by listening to jazz and mixing with Jewish people.
    • Not everyone supported the Nazis because they were uncomfortable with concentration camps. Others hated the restrictions but no-one could speak out.
