      • Carbohydrate (to release energy).
      • Fats (for warmth and to release energy).
      • Protein (for growth, cell repair and cell replacement).
      • Fibre (to keep the digestive system moving).
    • Metabolism and metabolic rate.
      • Your metabolism is chemicals in your body to keep you alive.
      • The speed at which these chemical processes take place is know as your metabolic rate.
      • There are several factors effecting your metabolism such as your proportion of muscle to fat, your excercise levels and your diet.
      • The more exercise you do the higher your metabolic rate will be.
