- Participatory Democracy
- 'GOVT OF THE PEOPLE'
- This gives people the chance to vote for their representatives.
- E.g. Saudia Arabia do not allow women to vote.
- DIRECT democracy
- 'GOVT BY THE PEOPLE
- People make important decisions, instead of the GOVT.
- Usually when the govt don't want to make the decision.
- These are made through REFERENDUMS
- E.g EU referendum: 52% leave 48% remain.
- REPRESENTATIVES democracy
- 'GOVT FOR THE PEOPLE'
- The people elect politicians to represent them in Parliament on their behalf.
- E.g. The govt and PM are elected through GEs.
- Participatory Democracy
