A super volcano is much bigger than a normal volcano, the magma chamber of a general volcano is 1km cubed, but a supervolcanoes magma chamber is 1000km cubed. They are also bigger on the surface, a supervolcano can be about 40km wide at the cone. They also have different shapes, a supervolcano is flat and doesn't have a cone, instead it is a massive depression called a caldera which is 40km wide, normal volcanoes are cone shaped. Also a supervolcano will have differeent effects than a normal volcano, the eruption of ash will spread around the globe and block out the sun causing global cooling which causes crops to die resulting in more deaths, the explosion will kill all life within a 50km radius, and it could set of more volcanoes. A noramal wolcano doesn't have these golbal effects. Hope this helps.

Super volcanoes are much bigger than normal volcanoes. When/if they erupt, super volcanoes can erupt more than 1000km2 into the atmosphere where as a normal volcano erupts on average 1km2 of material into the atmosphere. A super volcano will have many local, national and global impacts and responces where as a normal volcano will have local impacts and responces and mayby (if the volcano is big enough) national responces (which is quite rare to have). The way the two different types o volcano looks differernt, a normal sheild volcano will have a wide and flat base and if it does erupt, the lava will not be thick and it will be acid lava (and there will be none to very little earthquakes), a cone volcano has steep sides and it tend to be very tall, if erupted, the cone volcano will have thick lava and there will be earthquakes.

I hope this helped and sorry for my bad spelling :)

A super volcano is often miles in diameter and can also run miles underground. As the girl who knew to much mentions above, a super volcano magma chamber is aprox. 1000km cubed

Super Volcanoes have a bit more to them than your average sort, 1st of all they are more super than Batman and 2nd they have a better personality than regular vocanoes. Also yellow turkeys are like blue volcanoes :)
