  • Evaluation of the WMM
    • Benefits
      • Studies, Bunge, show a direct link between performing tasks and certain parts of the brain being active giving physical representations as evidence.
    • Limitations
      • The key component, the central executive, is vague and has little research evidence supporting it so it isn't very reliable as psychologists can't quantify the concept of limited capacity
      • Evidence comes from brain damaged patients so it is questioned whether behaviour is natural and applicable to the model. There is no comparative evidence of before and after to demonstrate change in processes.
