I have clicked on the 'calculate' icon but a revision timetable has not appeared

Check your exams. Are they all set in the future? Is the year set correctly? Have you set the date you want to start revising correctly (it must be in the future)? If there are still problems please contact us.

I can't work out how to use the sliders when proritizing subjects to revise for

The sliders allow you to proritize your revision for particular exams. This may be a good idea when one or more of your exams doesn't need much revision or when particular exams are really important and/or require lots of revision.

Leaving all sliders in the centre indicates that you want to spend an equal amount of time on revision for all your exams. Moving the slider to the right indicates that you want to spend more time on revision for that exam. Moving the slider to the left shows that you want to spend less time revising for that exam. Moving the slider affects the calculation of revision time for all your exams because the more you spend on one, the less is available to spend on others.

The revision timetable calculator will take your priorities into account when calculating your revision timetable.

I can't open a resource

Some users of the site will be using Microsoft Office 2007 and the file formats for programs such as 'Word' and 'Powerpoint' will not be compatible with the earlier versions of Microsoft Office that you might be using.

You can download a Compatability Pack from Microsoft which will enable you to open these files.

I want to delete a resource I have saved or uploaded

You can delete resources from your control panel. If you have, for example, started revision cards but not completed them, it would help other users if you deleted those resources. Please help us remove 'junk' from the site.

My revision cards have disappeared

Sometimes we delete revision cards if no content has been added. We don't want members to get frustrated when they open a card to find no information.

Is the site moderated?

Material on the site is moderated actively and regularly. But it is really helpful if users of the site report inappropriate content or misuse to us.

How do I enter commitments in my timetable so it doesn’t allocate it as revision time?

When creating your revision timetable, you will need to enter events in any time slots that you will not be able to revise in. Go into your timetable and click on the time slot that you have a commitment for; it will come up with a box to enter your event. Enter the event details and save it; it will then create this event in that time slot. You can create as many events as you need, and copy and paste them into other time slots. When you go to make the timetable, it will not put any revision time in the slots that you have created events in.

How do I rate resources?

To rate someone's resource, first click onto their resource page. Below the resource details there will be five stars. Hover your mouse over these stars to choose how many you would like to give it, and click on the number you would like.

If this is not working it may be that javascript is turned off in your browser (should be 'javascript enabled').

How do I cancel my subscription without deleting my account?

To cancel your subscription, go to My Account and select My Subscription from the left hand side menu. From here select ‘cancel my subscription’. This will lead you through the cancellation process. This will cancel your subscription, but your account will still be active to use the free resources.
