What is an element?
One type of atom. They are all found on the periodic table.

What are the 4 main techniques for seperating mixtures?
Filteration, Evaporation, Chromatography and Distilation

What is distillation?
The process that is used to seperate liquids that have different boiling points.

What is Chromatiography ideal for and why?
It is ideal for separating dyes in inks because the different dyes will wash through the paper at different rates.

What if the formula to calculate the Rf value?
Rf value= distance moved by the centre of the spot ÷ distance moved by the solvent front
