1920s: White Blouse Revolution definition
refers to the increase of employed women in administrative and clerical jobs that required grammar school education, this meant young working class women were excluded due to this need eg typing and secretary jobs

1920s: Marriage Bar Law
women could have jobs in teaching and medicine, most employers and institutions were happy to employ them, but this came at the price of giving it up once married ( 75% of the country still used this in 1926)

removing regulations and rules on industry (eg minimum/maximum wages etc) very much impacted women with lower paid jobs
