What makes someone become prejudice?

Parental Influence

Brought up hearing parents' Racist comments etc. May imitate them, and grow into adults sharing same opinions/beliefs.

Misunderstanding of culture,background = easy to stereotype/reject them. Poor education->ignorance,hatred, fear of difference.

The Media

Reinforce stereotypes. Eg. News all Muslims shown as 'Taliban'. Negative=Italian's film criminals. Positive='New Normal' shows Homosexuals as normal.

Personal Experience

One bad experience= expect similar to act same. Eg.Elderly mugged by teen.

Fear

Fear/uncertainty -> scapegoating. Blame group in society = seems to justify treating badly. Eg. Nazi's and Jews.

Prejudice because have been victim of prejudice themselves.
