What is a longitudinal wave?
sound waves and P waves, when the sound particals in a material move back and forth along in the same direction that the sound is travelling.

What is a transverse wave?
Waves on a water surface, elecromagnetic waves and S waves. The particales of water move in a right angle to the direction the wave is travelling.

The number of waves passing a point each second. (Hz)

The distance between the top/ bottom of two waves.

The maximum disturbance from its undisturbed position.
