Austria Hungary formally annexes Bosnia, and Serbia and Rusia are outraged and refuses to acknowledge it. Austria Hungary presents Russia with an ultimatum; accept the annexation or else. Russia accepts but won't back down again.

Revolt in French occupied land, Germans send s gunboat to 'protect German people' when there was really only one German there. Britain stands behind France to Germany's dismay, and they are given s small strip of the Congo as compensation
