What are vertebrates and invertebrates?

Vertebrates are animals that have a backbone and invertebrates are animals without a backbone

What ways do you group vertebrates?

You can group vertebrates by the way they absorb oxygen for respiration. Fish have gills to take oxygen from water. Young amphibians also have gills but adult amphibians have lungs and their moist skin to absorb oxygen.

Mammals, reptiles and birds have lungs to take in oxygen.

Some vertebrates reproduce using external fertilisation and others reproduce using internal ferilisation

What is external fertilisation and internal fertilisation?

external fertilisation is when the adult female releases her eggs into water where they're fertilised by sperm. Internal fertilisation is when the sperm is inside the female

What is oviparous and viviparous?

Viviparous are giving birth to live young and oviparous is laying eggs
