What is the vagina
A muscular, distensible tube which extends from the vestibule to the cervix passing upwards and backwards to the pelvis

Loose connective tissue containing many elactic fibres, blood vessels and nerve endings

Mucus secreted from cervix, transudate that seeps out from the blood vessels of the vaginal walls
