A utility which rearranges information on a disk so that files appear in continuous sequences instead of in different clusters.

Define Backup and Restore
(Full and incremental backup) Allows the user to restore the system to its previous state because it is saved as a backup. This is usually used if a system malfunctions.

Lossy compression reduces a file by permanently eliminating certain information. When the file is uncompressed only some of the original file is still there.

With lossless compression, every single bit of data that was originally in the file remains in the file after it is uncompressed.
