Why didn't the USA want to join the L of N?

As Europe was thousands of miles away so had nothing to do with them, they had already lost lots of American Soldiers- didnt want to lose anymore making Europe peaceful and didnt want to spend money in them,

USA didnt join the L of N so it was weakened and it could be argued it failed becuase of this. Economy- It led to tariffs on foreign goods which affected trade and caused the great depression in 1930. May have led to rise of Hitler as it caused GD.
