rise in demand for food and exports from britain and france had been cut, tractors made

why was there overproduction in agriculture in the USA?
europe began to return to economic stability, USA raised tarriffs on foreign foods to preserve farmers so other foreign countries done the same, farmers lowered price of food because of overproduction and this lead to little income

how did the government try to help farmers
Emergency tariff act (1921) which increased import duties, Fordney McCumber Act (1922) increased tariffs , Agricultural Credits Act (1923)established 12 Federal Intimidate Credit Banks to loan money to farmers , Congress tried to help as well
