The Sparticist Uprising

JAN 1919-left wing (communists) Led by Rosa Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht - took over buildings e.g newspaper offices. Army were still loyal to the kaiser so wouldnt help,Freikorps put down the uprising in return for not being disbanded

The Kapp Putch

1920- 5000 right wing supporters of DR Wolfgang Kapp marched on berlin to over throw the Weimar Republic and bring back the Kaiser - they controlled the city but people were told to go on strike so the city ground to a halt- kapp fled he was caught

The Munich Putch

1923-Led by HItler and the Nazi Party but Kahr and Seisser had opposed him and told the goernment, therefore the Putch Failed and Hitler fled but was later caught ant put in prison

set up in 1925 to be a smaller group of trusted security group.

Set up first - under control of Ernst Rohm - became violent thugs and where replaced by the ** in 1925
