By chlorophyll. Found in the chloroplasts of plant cells.

Why does chlorophyll look green?
It absorbs the red and blue parts of the spectrum and reflects green.

Light, carbon dioxide concentration and temperature.

How do plants convert glucose to proteins?
They use nitrogen found in mineral ions.
