In-depth, descriptive data usually presented in written form.

Data which is collected first hand by the researcher.

Data/information collected by someone else and used by the researcher.

The consistency of methods and the likelihood of gaining the same results if the research is replicated using the same methods.

The truthfulness and accuracy of data. The extent to which the research provides an accurate picture of what is being studied.

The extent to which the sample reflects the characteristics of the rest of the target/research population.

The extent to which the results from a study can be applied to the rest of the research population.

The process of clearly defining what is to be measured that it can be measured more accurately.
