What does osteoarthritis cause?
Thinning & roughening of joint cartilage. Cartilage fragments. Bony outgrowths called spurs.

Risk of osteoarthritis is increased by?
- Being 40+, obesity, injury to joints, being female, genetic inheritence, joint abnrmality.

The reduced absorbtion of nutrients is caused by?
- Deteriation of the function of the dogestive organs& lining. - Reduced production of gastric hydrochloric acid which prevents breakdown of proteins, fats &carbs.

- Reduced ability to absorb calcium. - Increased risk of osteoporosis, cancer and diabetes.
