Bandura theory
Learning happens through obseving, imitating and modeling others behaviour.

Attention
A child focusses their attention on a person who 'models' the behaviour.

Retention
What the child observes is stored in their memory to be used when an opportunity occurs.

Reproduction
Whta has been learn is reproduced/ imitated. - May be rehearsed in childs mind first then imitated later when there is an opportunity.

Motivation
Children feel motivated because they anticipate intrinsic/ extrinsic reward (vicarious reinforcement).

For personal ssatisfaction

Extrinsic
For rewards.

Positive reinforcement
Behaviour is repeated bc of intrinsic/extrinsic rewards.

Negative reinforcement
The behaviour is not repeated again to avoid adverse experience such as lack of satisfaction/ telling off.

Vicarious reinforcement
Motivated bc they see the model they are observing is getting satisfaction/ positive feedback. - May resist imitating bc they see the modelreceives negative feedbackfrom their action.
