What is the pulmonary circulation?
Goes from the heart with deoxygenated blood to the lungs where the blood becomes oxygenated- system only goes from the heart to lungs to the heart.

What is the systemic circulation?
Goes from the heart with oxygenated blood to the brain and arond the body and back to the heart- NEVER goes to the LUNGS

What does the SA node do?
Sends impulses to muscle fibres on oposite side- in the right atrium to left

What does the AV node do?
Catches impulses and delays them for a little while

What is the bundle of HIS
Impluses are sent down to the bundle og HIS then sent left and right. To the purkinje fibres which then makes right and left ventrical contract

What is the role of the lymphatic system?
Drainage and filteration, Removes excess fluid from the body tissue, Absorbs fatty acids and transports them to the bloodstream, produces white blood cels which produce anti-bodies (lymphocytes)

What does an ECG do?
Records the rhythm and electrical activity of the heart.

Identify 3 factors that increase an individuals risk of having a heart attack
Age, smoking, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, family history

Identify 3 symptoms of a heart attack
cold sweats, shortness of breath, struggle to breath, light headedness, dizziness
