Quantitive Analysis
Rooted in an understanding of customers, in order to gain knowledge on usage and future sales etc. They do this so that they can plan for the future and to reduce the risk.

Moving Average
This helps to show trends in sales. It is used particularly when there is strong seasonal influences and/or when sales are erratic. Uses calculations of average usually 3 sets of data.

Extrapolation
This looks at past data plotted on a graph and then looking at the trend to see what future data may be.

Corrolation
Plotting data onto a graph and then looking to see if there was a trend.
