Cross media ownership - owns film companies, newspapers etc.

Technological convergence
Products are available in different forms that can be accessed on one device.

Media companies produce and sell a product in a variety of forms - a film, soundtrack and video game for a superhero.

Believe that there is a wide variety of media available - a wide variety of resources and owners.
Opposite of concentration.

Postmodernist pluaralist
Because people can choose to consume different opinions, the media produces outlets that they think people will want to read and buy.

The owners who favour capitalism have ultimate control. Issues that show capitalism in a bad light are rarely shown in the media - e.g inequality and poverty.
