How were the indian tribes organised?
the indian nation was never led by an individual, within the nation there were tribes led by chiefs of bands eg.sioux , each band was led by chief,ruled by all male council, influenced by a warrior society

Role of settler women on the plains?
responsible for housework and educating children, became lonely so they nursed the sick and helped each other in childbirth, formed church groups to help civilise the frontier

tanning buffalo hides. making tipis, finding foos for horses and leading the packhorses when tribe was on the move
