Why did the Abyssinian crisis show that the League of Nations had failed?
The LON were not prepared to fight Italy, they didn't want to lose Italy as an ally against Hitler, they allowed Italy to leave the LON and take over a country, they were too slow to act, the Hoare Laval Pact was leaked.
