What is a double blind trial?
Some patients are given a placebo which doesn’t contain the drug and some patients are given the drug. The patients are allocated randomly to these two groups. Neither doctors nor patients know who has the placebo.

What is the purpose of a double blind trial?
To ensure that it’s completely fair and to rule out whether a drug is completely necessary
