Tourism major part of the local economy- usually at expense of other types of development. No of visitors are steading making employment secure. Some facilities are getting older.

Stagnation
Resort becomes unfashionable and no of visitors decline

Decline
Visitors go elsewhere; day trippers and weekenders become main source of income

Rejuvenation
Attempts are made to modernise the resort and attract people.
