C-C is strong and non polar

C-H is strong and slightly polar

Same molecular formula but the atoms are arranged in a different way

Functional group isomerism
Same molecular formula but atoms are arranged to give a different functional group

E-Z isomerism
I only with alkenes atoms arrangement around C=C bond changes

E = high priority groups on opposite sides

Z = high priority groups on the same side

High priority = high Mr value

C=C can’t rotate this allows E-Z isomerism to take place
