He was the sixth and last child of Henry Ware Eliot and Charlotte Stearns Eliot. 1 of 15 1906 Eliot enrolled at Harvard University. He completed his undergraduate studies in three years and his masters in four. 2 of 15 1910 He graduated from Harvard. He obtained bachelor's and master's degrees. 3 of 15 1910 He travelled to Paris to study at Sorbonne for 1 year. 4 of 15 1914 He studied at Merton College at Oxford University. Here he met Ezra Pound. They became lifelong friends. 5 of 15 1915 'The Love Song of J.Alfred Prufrock' was published. 6 of 15 June 26th, 1915 Eliot married his wife, Vivienne Haigh-Wood. 7 of 15 1915 In 1915, he also began a teaching job at Highgate School. 8 of 15 1921 Eliot suffered a nervous breakdown. 9 of 15 1933 He separated from Vivienne. A little time after their separation, Vivienne was admitted to a mental hospital where she spent the rest of her life. 10 of 15 September 1st, 1939 World War II was declared. 11 of 15 1947 Vivienne died. 12 of 15 1948 Eliot was awarded the Nobel Prize for literature. 13 of 15 January 10th, 1957 Eliot marries again to Esmé Valerie Fletcher. 37 years younger than himself. 14 of 15 January 4th, 1965 Eliot died of emphysema aged 76. 15 of 15
