Sedimentary Rock is formed when sediment (material carried by water) is deposited in layers on the bottom of a sea/lake

What are the characteristics of sedimentary rock?
Sedimentary Rock is laid down in layers, Permeable, Easily Eroded, Weaker than Igneous or Metamorphic, Often contain fossils

What are some examples of sedimentary rock?
Limestone and Chalk consists of Calcium Carbonate, Clay (despoition of mud), Sandstone (deposition of sand)

How is metamorphic rock formed?
Metamor[phic Rock is the changed forms of sedimentary or igneous

What are characteristics of metamorphic rock?
Metamorphic is usually very hard and doesn't get eroded/weathered as much, consists of crystals, impermeable

What are some examples of metamorphic rock?
Marble is formed from limestone, Schist is formed from basalt and slate
