Distinguish between retroactive and proactive?

In retroactive later learning interferes with recall of earlier learning and proactive, earlier learning inteferes with recall of later learning

What are paired associate tasks?

Involves the pairing of two items (e.g: door and chair- stimulus and response). The learner is then prompted with the stimulus and must recall the response to that stimulus.
