They would attack France and defeat her in the first few weeks but she would be expecting an attack through Alsace Lorraine but they would attack through a neutral Belgium and Holland.

Schlieffen argued that due to Russia's backwards agricultural way, it would take her a long time to mobolise her forces so Germany would defeat France in the first few weeks then use the same army to fight Russia.

Germany invaded Belgium and Luxembourgh but Belgium resisted and the BEF(British Expeditionary Force) helped the Belgium to resist, Russia mobolised in 10 days and attack Germany so was forced to withdraw troops, Germany stopped trying to take Paris
