What was Anti-semitism?
Hatred of the jews- as soon as Hilter came to power in 1933 persecution of the jews started.

Yes- Hitler forced pres Hindenburg to allow jews who had fought or killed for germany in the first world war keep their jobs.

Able to increse the persecution of jews by banning them from public parks, swimming pools, cinemas, theatres and restaurants.

Jews were defined as anyone who had a jewish grandparent, and forbiddden to marry or have sexual relations with German Citizens.

How was Nazi anti-semitism differant to how the jews had been persecuted before?
Nazis said that jews inherited evil from previous generations which was present in their blood- so not being procuted for regilon and therefore could not escape it by becoming christians.

The berlin olympic games- Nazis hid all signs of persecution

It was difficult as despite what Nazis said they were a very small percentage of the population (1%) and they belived it would go away as it had done in the past.

Thought of as a threat to the pure aryan race so such people were sterilised- during war 30,000 mentally ill people were killed as they were thought of as a drain on resources
