rapid, involuntary, protective
2 of 9
What is a stimulus?
A detectable change in the environment
3 of 9
What does the sensory neurone do?
It carries an electrical impulse from the receptor to the central nervous system
4 of 9
What does the relay neurone do?
It connects to sensory and motor neurone
5 of 9
What does the motor neurone do?
It carries the electrical impulse from the central nervous system to the effector
6 of 9
Name two examples of an effector..
Glands and muscle
