What were the dates of the crisis?
1931-32

On September 1931, what did the japanese claim?
They claimed there had been an explosion on the railway line in Mukden which they said was sabotage from the Chinese,

There is no certainty there was as no transport was stopped,

They invaded Machuria to 'restore law and order'/ Yes they defeated the CHinese amry,

It wasnt authorised by the Governmetn but the public was very pleased so now the amry was in control of Japanese policies,

As Japan was one of the permanent members of the council but didnt wnt to lose her as no country wanted war against her,

She was strong and modern- she could control Russian expansion in the Far East,

As it was the solution to over population and financial problems

Victor Lytton whose aim was to gather infromation and produce a report about the crisis

By October 1932, which took one year,

It said Mancuria should become an indepedant state called Manchukuo as the Chinese rule was caotic and the japanese had no claim to it ,

No she didnt so the L of n condemned her action so Japan just left the league and took ober more of china,

as Japan's main trading partner was the USA who wasnt part of the L of N
