Number 5 is wrong...it measures the oxygen uptake. It couldn't possibly measure the carbon dioxide as it gets absorbed by the soda lime present :)

People who got 100% on this are wrong! Please change the answer of number 5 to oxygen because this is the correct answer. Check Pg.51 of the purple text book (large heading saying 'measuring oxygen uptake' on a page about spirometers) or Pg.59 of the green text book (Another heading saying 'Measuring oxygen consumption' on another page about the spirometer) thanks.
