It is not codified. Makes it flexible and not entrenched.
When 9/11 happened it was easy to pass terror laws because there is no constraint on the government.

Constitutional laws are not superior to other laws.
When the UK Parliament passed the Human Rights Act in 1998, no special procedures were needed.

There is parliamentary sovereignty. The constitution and its rules are in control by Parliament.
Parliament can choose to leave the EU whenever they want.

There is a constitutional monarchy. The Queen is the head of state but is constitutionally limited; the Royal Prerogative belongs to the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister decides when to go to war and forms a government but the Queen still has to formally appoint them.

The rule of law operates. All are equal under the law and the government itself is subject to laws, just as citizens are.
The Habeas Corpus Act says someone cannot be imprisoned without trial.

There is a lack of separation powers. The executive and legislative branches are not separated from each other and the executive dominates the legislature.
The executive and legislative powers both lie in Parliament.
