The blind spot is where the optic nerve leaves the eye, there isn't a retina.

Describe the difference between Binocular and Monocular vision?
Binocular vision is where both eyes face forward, his means both eyes focus on the same thing, whereas Monocular vision is where the eye is on each side of the head, this gives animals a much wider field of view,

What are the advantages of Binocular vision?
Both eyes focus on the same thing, enabling them to focus well and to judge distance accurately, this is good for predators when they are hunting.

Animals have a much wider field of view, means that animals can see all around them and notice any predators in time to run away.

What causes Red-green colour blindness?
It is an inherited condition, when people cannot clearly tell the difference between red and green. They do not have certain specialized cells in the retina.

What is the difference between long sight and short sight?
People with long sight can see things in the distance clearly, but cannot see close work clearly, people with short sight can see close things clearly but cannot focus on things in the distance.

How can long sight and short sight be corrected?
Lenses with concave lenses are used to correct short sight, they bend the light rays outwards helping the eye to focus light on the retina. For long sight, convex lenses are used, they bend light rays inwards to help focus on the retina.
