PROBLEM: POOR HEALTH - 50% of prescriptiond are for people over 65. Diseases like stroke, heart attack and arthritis effect more people. Life threatening illnesses like cancer and strokes are more likely.
SOLUTION:

PROBLEM: POVERTY - When someone retires their income drops. 70% of pensioners depend on the Old Age Pension. (15% of average male earnings)
SOLUTION:

PROBLEM: LONELINESS - 2 million old people live alone and most of these are women. Bereavement, being housebound and disabled makes this worse.
