They don't show variations within the country. For Example if you looked at the GNI of a country it might seem quite developed but in reality there are some really wealthy people and some poor people

These two types of countries are divided into the North and South. It is called the North South divide. The MEDC's are usually located in the North of the world and the LEDC's are usually located in the South of the world

You can't tell which countries were developing quickly and which weren't really developing at all.

Countries that are rapidly getting richer their economy is moving from being based on primary industry to secondary industry. An example would be China

These countries aren't really poor but aren't vey rich either. They develop quickly but not as quickly as NIC's

A very hot or a very cold country won't be able to be able to grow much so there isn't a large Gross National Income.

Is a country likely to be more or less developed if it doesn't have a lot of water?
Less developed as they don't have enough water to grow crops which lowers the Gross National Income

How do natural hazards slow down development?
Natural hazards cause a lot of damage to certain countries. This slows down development as they country has to spend money on rebuilding rather than developing areas like education or healthcare

Describe a political factor that affects development
An unstable government can cause conflict. The resources supplied, like weapons, will have to be paid for and the damage that the conflict causes will have to be paid for as well. This means that less money will be spent on developing the country
