Religion is 'wish fulfillment' . God is a concept created by the super-ego - No evidence, cant be tested, metaphorical theory

Carl Jung
student of Freud - religion is healthy and harmonises the psyche. Similar ideas to Freud about id however believed the removal of religion could be detrimental as human life has a spiritual side.

Summary
The challenges of psychology are not strong enough to prove/disprove the existence of God and hold no real weight other than introducing the idea of 'wish fulfillment' which neither proves nor disproves anything.
