What were the weaknesses of the Weimar Constitution?
1. Often no single party had a clear majority - coalitions frequently argued. 2. Lack of strong single party government. 3. Several parties elected to the Reichstag were Nationalists and Communists.

Why was the Treaty of Versailles unpopular with the German people?
No German representatives were allowed to join the treaty discussions and the terms were just imposed, and not agreed.

1.Germany had to pay reparations to the Allies. 2. Germany lost all it's colonies. 3. German military strength was cut. 4. Germany lost land.

A left wing uprising by the German communist party led by Rosa Luxemburg (Red Rosa)

The polititian who signed the surrender to the Allies in 1918. Was shot dead in August 1921

The Weimar foreign minister. Machine gunned to death in June 1922

What caused inflation in Germany in 1923?
Germany's government was bankrupt. Gold reserves had been spent in the war and it was also expected to pay reparations.

What was hyperinflation?
German government printed extra money to pay debts. This caused prices to rise to extreme levels.

What were the effects of hyperinflation?
Normal living became impossible (people needed to carry money in bags or even wheelbarrows), everyone suffered from shortages, people with money in banks suffered because their money became worthless.
