What were the goals of suffrage?
To gain suffrage through constitutional campaign, and persuade that women are capable of having the vote

Women should have votes on issues that concern them, women in other countries had suffrage, women pay tax, better educated than in the past, have special skills and expertise, already vote in local elections

Women need to be protected from politics, husbands should take wives view into account, too emotional, more women would vote than men, would have to give vote to all men too, women don't fight in wars and classism
