Sent the Earl of Sussex with a royal army of 7,000 to York, followed by 12,000 men under Baron Clinton. The rebels had around 4,600 men.

Duke of Norfolk put in the Tower of London, Earl of Northumberland was beheaded in York. Earl of Westmorland escaped to Flanders and died penniless, no proof Mary, Queen of Scots was involved.
