Brought the rebels to a battle at Dussindale. 4000 royal troops and rebels were killed.

Captured and hung.

What were the demands of the rebels?
29 articles. Notably: stop enclosing common land, rents to be reduced to how they were under Henry VII, bondmen given their freedom, rivers to be open to all for fishing.

Assessing the Kett Rebellion.
Suporters of the Protestant Reformation. Kett encouraged Protestant ministers to preach to the rebels. Enclosure seen as the main reason, but one of many agricultural demands.

Commons to be kept open and free for husbandmen to graze their livestoke, and that rents should not be increased excessively. Appeared to yearn for the favourable economic conditions that existed under Henry VII/
