The effect of humans on the evironment

?
How is the increasing concern about the ever increasing population
Whether we can provide food/energy'water and space for everyone on this planet
1 of 7
What is the definiton of acidic Rain
Any form of precipatation that contains sulfur dioxide and has a pH below 5.6
2 of 7
Why is acidic Rain harmful to the enironment?
It damages the surfaces of leaves which makes it hard for plants to photosynthesise, drains nutrients from soil, makes it harder for trees to absord water
3 of 7
Why are some pollutants harmful to plants and animals
Pollutants and cause smog which rapidly reduces sunlight therefore plants can no longer photosynthesise and will therefore die and as result depleat a vital food source for most wildlife
4 of 7
What is Eutropication and it's effects
Eutropication is when farmers use an excess of fertilisers that makes it way to lakes and rivers. It then causes rapid plant growth that covers most of the lake's surface, preventing algafrom photosynthesising.
5 of 7
Why is Eutropication harmful to wildlife?
Since it causes plantlife to cover the surface of the lake, it prevents sunlight from reaching the alga. Without alga, the foodsource of fish will begin to depleat as well as the food chain
